Our client, an established and well-regarded law firm based in Darlington, is looking to recruit a Wills & Probate Paralegal to join its busy Private Client team.
This is a great opportunity for a Paralegal with experience in Wills, Probate and general Private Client work to develop their career within a supportive and reputable firm.
The Role
You will assist fee earners within the Wills, Probate and Private Client department, supporting on a varied caseload which may include:
1. Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
2. Assisting with probate and estate administration matters
3. Preparing and submitting probate applications
4. Liaising with clients, beneficiaries and third parties
5. Taking initial instructions and providing excellent client care
6. Preparing correspondence and legal documents
7. Opening, maintaining and closing files
8. Carrying out general administrative support for the department
9. Ensuring all work is handled in line with compliance and quality standards
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
10. At least 12 months experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within Wills, Probate or Private Client
11. Good knowledge of private client procedures
12. Excellent client care and communication skills
13. Strong organisation and attention to detail
14. The ability to work well as part of a team
15. A professional, empathetic and practical approach
