The Inn at Kingsbarns is centrally located in the beautiful village of Kingsbarns on the East Neuk of Fife ( 6 miles from St Andrews ) The Inn currently offers 6 luxury bedrooms, a twenty seat restaurant, outdoor garden seating and a small bar.
We are a Community Inn with a strong focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and a changing menu featuring daily specials. Our friendly, professional team works hard to deliver great food in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef or Senior Chef De Partie to join our busy fresh-food kitchen.
As Sous Chef, you will:
Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
Contribute to menu planning and creation of daily specials.
Help lead and motivate the kitchen team, setting a positive example.
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are met.
Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
This is a full-time position of 40 or 45 hours working 5 days out of 7, including evenings and weekends as required.
About you...
We would love to hear from you if you have proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up. Are confident working with fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch. You have good organisational skills and work well under pressure, you are a team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills. Understanding of all kitchen compliance, food safety, and HACCP procedures. is a must.
