About the Company - My Client is seeking a Senior Human Factors Safety Consultant to lead the delivery of complex Human Factors work packages across high-hazard, safety-critical environments—focused on Defence projects. You will play a pivotal role in the integration of Human Factors into Safety Cases, supporting engineering programmes, and delivering expert insight across multidisciplinary teams.
About the Role - Your responsibilities will include leading Human Factors Integration (HFI) activities, substantiating Human-Based Safety Claims, and applying Human Reliability Assessment (HRA) methods such as task analysis, HEART, and THERP. You will also mentor junior consultants, provide technical oversight of deliverables, and support client engagement, proposal writing, and project costing.

Qualifications
* Degree or postgrad qualification in Human Factors, Psychology, Engineering, or Industrial Design
* CIEHF membership (or working towards chartership)

* Excellent communication, mentoring, and client-facing skills
Skills
* Experience applying HFI principles within regulated, high-hazard sectors
* Understanding of UK and international Human Factors standards and guidance
* Ability to work effectively within wider safety and design teams
