Gas Service & Repair Engineer
Salary: £39,283.13 pa + call out payments + high-end power tool kit provided + access to company vehicle for work use only
Location: Manchester - Field Based across Greater Manchester area
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week, 8am - 4.30pm Mon – Thurs, 8am - 3.30pm Friday

Responsibilities
1. Service, diagnose, and repair all landlord-owned gas appliances in customers’ homes and empty properties.
2. Complete relevant certification in accordance with Gas Safety Regulations.
3. Report faulty appliances, installations, or equipment to the Gas Manager that do not meet safety standards.
4. Deliver a good cosmetic finish on completed jobs.
5. Report potential repairs and safeguarding issues noticed in customers’ homes.
6. Update your PDA in real-time on job status and communicate with planners regarding customer availability or job viability.
7. Order parts, materials, or follow-up work as required and record work daily outside opti-time.
8. Achieve performance targets, KPIs, and productivity goals.
Requirements
* Ability to undertake gas heating repairs and servicing, certifying gas works.
* Sound building and construction knowledge.
* General building maintenance repair knowledge.
* Certificate of Competence (BSEN17024) – CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1.
This role requires a basic DBS check and a valid driving licence. An on-call rota participation is also necessary.
