Working Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 07:00 - 15:00 / 14:00 - 22:00
Pay Rate: £13.50 ph
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Forklift Driver to join one of our client's based at London Gateway in Stanford le Hope. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and production processes. This position involves a variety of tasks, including materials handling, equipment maintenance, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Load and unload materials and products efficiently and safely.
Driving Forklift Counterbalance
Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.
Perform routine equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
Skills
Basic maths skills for inventory management and stock counting.
Valid Counterbalance certificates
Experience with load unloading operations in a warehouse setting.
Knowledge of equipment repair techniques is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory is preferred.
Experience in shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
Strong understanding of materials handling procedures within a warehouse environment.
