Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate 'Breakfast/Brunch' Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, coupled with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record as a breakfast chef. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient food production.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance whenever necessary.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
* Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
* Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.
* Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and communication among staff.
Skills
* Proven experience (at least 10 years) in a cafe setting with a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
* Proficient in food production techniques and food preparation methods.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Exceptional organisational skills, with the capability to multitask effectively.
