Role summary
Reporting to the Head of Cleaning and Grounds (Pinewood), the Group Grounds Operative focuses on maintaining the cleanliness of the Studios.
Hours of work: 8 hours per day, between 05:00 – 14:00, Monday – Friday, with one weekend every 3 – 4 weeks.
Principle accountabilities
* Monitor and uphold high standards of cleanliness across the studio site.
* Clean, sweep, and de-weed all roads, pathways, car parks, external lighting, and signage.
* Perform snow and ice clearance/gritting as required.
* Remove refuse, white goods, general rubbish, rubble, and pallets.
* Jet wash buildings and covered areas.
* Report issues to the manager or facility services team.
* Maintain, clean, and report on the Scarab Road sweeper and electric vehicles.
Nature and scope
The role primarily involves completing the above responsibilities with minimal planning. Some technical training may be provided on-the-job. The role offers minimal autonomy, with management providing direction. Adherence to Health and Safety standards is essential.
Skills and Experience
* Relevant qualifications, e.g., Health and Safety, forklift truck driving.
* C1 license preferred for driving the 7.5 Tonne Scarab.
* Experience and knowledge of the commercial sector.
* Strong teamwork skills.
* Ability to troubleshoot and think laterally.
* Full driving license.
