Job Description
We are looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer with client-facing experience for a role with a UK MSP based in Manchester, United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Windows Server 2008-2019, Virtualisation, and be comfortable with designing new implementations and handling BAU activities.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing 3rd Line IT Support for clients, working across multiple technology environments.
* Working on-site and off-site, with minimal overnight stays.
* Knowledge of Hyper V, O365, Azure AD, Windows Server, Firewalls/Security is required.
* Optional knowledge in VMWare, Cisco networking, PowerShell scripting, and Power BI is a plus.
* Building and deploying server architecture, managing assets, and contributing to IT policy and procedure development.
* Maintaining excellent customer service and building strong stakeholder relationships.
* Serving as a point of escalation for support calls.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will play a key role in the growth and success of the company, which has a long-standing client base and ambitious expansion plans.
Requirements:
* Experience with Windows Server 2008-2019, Hyper V, Office 365, Networking, Firewalls.
* Strong technical skills and a proactive, team-oriented personality.
* Right to work in the UK, with a minimum of 3 years UK work experience.
