Job Description: Our client is a respected and well-established accountancy and advisory firm with a strong private client and entrepreneurial focus. Role Overview
This is a senior-level private client tax role, offering a mix of complex compliance and high-level advisory work. The individual will manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth clients, including UK and non-resident individuals, partnerships, private landlords, and entrepreneurs. The role includes direct client management, staff mentoring, technical reviews, and delivery of bespoke tax planning strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of complex private clients, acting as the primary point of contact
Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns for HNWIs, partnerships, and landlords
Attend client meetings and develop strong, trusted relationships
Provide tax planning and advisory support across areas such as:
Residence and domicile
Non-resident taxation
Family Investment Companies (FICs)
Trusts and inheritance tax
Ad hoc planning related to international and UK tax matters
Research and analyse complex areas of personal tax legislation
Liaise with tax partners and support their advisory engagements
Review work of junior staff and support their development through technical training and mentoring
Manage client billing, budgeting, and delivery timelines
Collaborate across departments and with international network firms to deliver cross-border advice
Key Requirements
Strong experience in private client tax compliance and advisory, including complex clients and international issues
Proven experience managing a client portfolio, including budgeting and billing
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously
Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
