Role Overview
We are seeking a legal support services team leader to join our Leadership Team at Lanyon Bowdler, based at our Telford, Shrewsbury, Oswestry or Hereford office. This role provides operational line management and leadership to the Legal Support Services Team, which consists of telephony, client services, and legal administrative assistants. It is a central shared department where core legal administrative tasks are conducted for the firm. The team leader ensures the accuracy and flow of all aspects of administration in line with KPIs, supports lawyers across the firm, monitors performance targets and activity levels, and takes appropriate action when required. The role ensures that telephonists, front‑of‑house client services, and legal administration team members provide an exceptional level of support to both clients and colleagues. Responsibilities also include front‑of‑house reception, overseeing the timely and accurate transcription of legal dictations using speech recognition systems, checking the opening and processing of new files related to prospects, clients or other matters, and post‑registration completions. The post holder oversaw and ensures the input of data and storage of e‑documentation into the practice/document management system, archives closed matter files, and guarantees that third‑party practice management systems are used to the highest standard.
