Average working hours are 16.25 hours per week over 4 weeks. i.e 65 hours over 4 weeks with core hours as:
Shifts are generally 9am-2pm (depending on daily needs)
· For example the rota may be working Monday and Tuesday every week and every other weekend and Wednesday once in 4 weeks. Please note the requirements for working alternate weekends.
· · Flexibility is needed in this role, to help cover additional hours as required. (Sickness, annual leave and social hours)
A Female Personal Assistant (PA) is required to join our small team in supporting a disabled female in her early 60's. A good sense of humour is essential.
The client has a spinal cord injury and is tetraplegic but is positive minded and independent. This role is to support her to live as much of an independent life within the boundaries of her disability. The successful candidate must like animals as 3 cats and a dog are very much part of the family.
2:1 support is needed, so the successful candidate will always work with another team member.
This role includes duties such as:
· Personal care (showering/personal hygiene),
· Dressing/getting up,
· Care specific to her spinal cord injury (manual handling),
· Administration of medicines,
· Support in the home, light household tasks (cooking meals, laundry, tidying, cleaning)
· Support for social events.
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be 21yrs old or over, have a valid driving licence and be willing to drive the client's car when required.
The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check paid for by the Client.
