SG Technologies - part of the Neo Performance Materials Group, is a global leader in the production of high-performance magnetic components and assemblies. Our products are shipped worldwide to high end automotive and consumer products customers such as Bosch, Caterpillar, and YASA. Due to Maternity leave, we are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our team and provide hands-on, pragmatic support across our operations for 12-15 months. Reporting to theFinance Director, you will support the business in a time of change as we implement system and process changes to enable improved operational and financial performance. You will need to have energy and drive to help to make change. Responsibilities will include: Production of monthly management accounts, including Stock Valuation and COGS analysis, consolidation of group entities, balance sheet and P&L review and analysis, production of financial statements. Monthly payroll Driving implementation of new systems & processes Supporting more junior members of the team Turning data into useful management information to help drive decision making Liaising with audit teams Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) in a similar role, preferably within manufacturing or a fast-paced operational setting Proactive approach to process improvement Excellent communication skills Strong organisational skills, with an attention to detail Advanced excel skills comfortable with lookups, pivot tables, and index formulae Strong system skills system implementation skills will be a distinct advantage, but experience of making system improvements is key Be keen to take ownership and responsibility this is not a junior position and the person in this role should be comfortable with decision making Have an inquisitive, confident nature keen to understand the whole picture and not afraid to ask questions Work pattern: Full time 37.5-hour week Monday to Thursday 8.30am 5pm, Friday 8.30am 2.30pm part time working may be considered, but a minimum of 28 hours per week is required After successfully passing probation, you will be eligible to use our flexitime system working around a core hour system with the potential to work a 9-day fortnight.
