We are a vertically integrated garment manufacturing company, with our production facility based in Lahore, Pakistan, and a design and merchandising office in Canary Wharf, London.
We specialise in knitwear design and production, manufacturing hoodies, sweatshirts, T-shirts, and a wide range of knit garments for leading UK and European fashion brands, including Zara, Pull & Bear, Tape à l'Oeil, Everlast, Ellesse, and others. Our focus is on high-quality garment construction, fabric innovation, fit accuracy, and production-ready design.
As our customer base continues to grow, we are expanding our in-house design capability to develop and showcase new knitwear designs, fabric developments, and garment concepts for both existing and prospective clients.
The Role
We are looking for a Fashion Designer with a strong technical and product-driven approach to join our London-based team. This position is not graphics-led; the emphasis is on garment shape, fabric selection, construction, and fit, ensuring all designs are suitable for bulk production.
You will play a key role in creating and presenting new knitwear designs and developments to support our growing customer base. The role will also involve occasional international travel to customer offices, where you will meet directly with clients to gain a clear understanding of each customer's brand identity, design direction, and technical requirements. These insights will be used to develop tailored knitwear designs and product ranges.
You will work closely with our Lahore-based factory teams, including sampling, pattern, and production, as well as with buyers and international clients. All travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs will be fully covered by the company.
Key Responsibilities
* Design commercial knitwear garments with a strong focus on silhouette, construction, and fit
* Develop and propose new knitwear styles, fabric developments, and garment concepts for customer presentations
* Build ongoing design ranges to showcase to existing and prospective clients
* Select and specify fabrics, yarns, weights, washes, and finishes
* Review samples and manage fit comments and revisions
* Collaborate with pattern makers and production teams to ensure manufacturing feasibility
* Prepare and maintain detailed tech packs, including measurements and construction notes
* Adapt designs to meet brand requirements, cost parameters, and delivery schedules
* Travel internationally to customer offices and meetings as required, supporting design presentations and product development discussions
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related.
* Strong knowledge of knit fabrics, garment construction, and fit
* Experience working with manufacturers or supplier-side teams
* Ability to translate buyer briefs into production-ready garments
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercial environment
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for flats and tech packs
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
Desirable Experience
* Experience working with UK or European high-street or sportswear brands
* Previous factory or supplier-side background
* 2+ years' experience in knitwear design, product development, or technical fashion design
