Permanent or fixed-term contract
I’m supporting an NHS hospital in the East of England with the appointment of a Consultant Haematologist.
This is a lovely opportunity to join a friendly, forward-thinking haematology department delivering clinical and laboratory haematology services across a broad local population, with strong regional links to tertiary services.
The role offers:
* Consultant Haematology post within an established NHS department
* Permanent or fixed-term contract options
* Combination of inpatient, outpatient, day-unit and laboratory work
* Participation in local and regional MDTs
* Opportunity to develop a subspecialty interest
* Links with a major tertiary centre for specialist pathways and MDT input
* Supportive consultant and specialist nurse team
* Involvement in governance, audit, service improvement, education and CPD
The successful doctor will ideally have:
* Full GMC registration with licence to practise
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register, or within 6 months of CCT/CESR
* CCT in Haematology, or equivalent/near completion
* Strong clinical haematology experience
* Excellent communication and MDT working skills
* Interest in service development, teaching or subspecialty practice
The location offers a great quality of life, with access to countryside, coastline, good schools and rail links into larger regional centres and London.
This could suit either an established Consultant Haematologist or a senior doctor approaching CCT who is looking for a substantive or fixed-term NHS Consultant opportunity in the East of England.
