Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically savvy Senior Business Analyst to join our Credit Research Technology team. You will be embedded within a dynamic group focused on building innovative research and investment tools used by credit analysts and portfolio managers. Working closely with product owners, developers, and investment professionals, you will play a pivotal role in shaping solutions that drive smarter investment decisions across our fixed income portfolios.
Responsibilities
* Lead the definition and delivery of business and system requirements to support credit research, model-driven analysis, and portfolio management tools.
* Serve as a key liaison between credit analysts, portfolio managers, and technology teams to ensure business needs are translated into scalable, high-performance technical solutions.
* Drive end-to-end documentation and stakeholder alignment across delivery cycles.
* Help shape the data strategy for credit research by integrating credit model data, issuer fundamentals, ESG inputs, and alternative datasets into the research ecosystem.
* Influence the firm''s digital transformation initiatives through delivery excellence and thought leadership.
* Provide day-to-day support for credit research and portfolio management teams in their use of internal tools and platforms.
* 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis at a buy-side Fixed Income asset management firm.
* Deep understanding of credit research workflows, with proven experience working alongside credit analysts and portfolio managers.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and investment processes.
* Proficiency in:
* SQL - for data validation and exploration.
* AWS - particularly data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda).
* Python - for prototyping analytical tools and performing data analysis.
Qualifications
* Strong command of business analysis practices, including:
* Use case and workflow documentation
* Data mapping and transformation
* Acceptance criteria and test planning
* Excellent communication skills - capable of clearly translating technical issues into business context and vice versa.
* Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
* CFA Certification or progress toward completion.
* Familiarity with third-party credit platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI).
* Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
* Exposure to machine learning or AI frameworks in financial modeling is a plus.
