We are looking fora self-starter,someone with a passion for Test, ideally from aTechnical and/orSystems Integration background.The successful candidate willjoin existing SW Development teams andhelp define good test process,lead anddeliverearly-stagetestingwith theSW Dev.teams,and help grow the Test Practice as thePortfolio continues to grow. This role demands strongtechnicalleadership, excellent communication skills,flexibilityand agoodunderstanding ofengineering andtesting practices. You willbe responsible fordefiningtest strategies,planningandleading test activities, ensuring alignment with projectgoalsundersomevery shortdelivery timescales. The work spansseveralcustomers and abroad range oftechnologiesand sorequiresa flexible and adaptive approach to testingwhilstmaintainingappropriaterigor. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Test Leadership & Strategy With support of the Portfolio Chief Engineer, defineappropriate test strateg ies /approaches for each project. With support of the Project Leads,conduct test planning for each project, ensuring alignment withtimescales and quality (including safety and security)objectives. Champion quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle, embedding testing intoappropriateworkflows. Work with the customersto achieve formal acceptance ofeachProject's Scope Test Execution & Reporting With the support of the Development teams, documentappropriateTestSpecifications for each project. Ensure traceability ofproject scopeto test cases and defects, agreeingan appropriate coveragewith the key stakeholders Documenttest progress, defect trends, and provide real-time reporting to stakeholders. Drive defect triage and resolution in collaboration with development teams. E ssential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Test Lead or Senior Test Engineer inWaterfall andAgile environments, preferably in the Defence sector. Excellenttechnicalleadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in systems integration testing, including interfaces, data flows, and end-to-end scenarios. Demonstrated experience testing both cloud-based and server-based applications. Good, general, familiarity with Test Automation practices isrequired. Experienceworking withRF and embeddedsystems is a bonus. Desirable Qualifications & Experience ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalentexperience Experience in regulated environments (e.g. defence,law enforcement). Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices. Additional Considerations: Due to the nature of the work, the majority will be conducted on customer sites, with only a small amount of remote working possible.
