We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Head of Finance / Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations. Leading from the front they need to embed KPI's and establish structure for our continued growth.
Supported by a small UK team and an off-shore accountant at our wholly owned subsidiary, they will take over from a long standing Finance Director, who helped manage our growth from a small business.

Key Responsibilities
· Take on the challenges of a growing company with positivity and embed systems and controls across a small team with potential to recruit, delegating appropriately to enable further growth.
· Review and embed KPI's covering finance and production both in UK and offshore.
· Confident to oversee and give tight financial governance to our offshore facility, through MS teams and occasional visits.
· Lead, develop and oversee recruitment of a small UK finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
· Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis, KPI's and detailed finance reports.
· Lead preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cashflow forecasting.
· Ensure costing and budgetary control.
· Oversee all day-to-day UK accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cash management & ledger controls.
· Optimise and drive high standards of financial management.
· Manage all group financial responsibilities for UK & offshore company.
· Complete VAT returns and undertake monthly reconciliations.
· Ensure compliance with all financial regulations (GAAP, HMRC filings, VAT returns) and strengthen internal controls.
· Lead annual audits and external reviews.
· Manage ad hoc projects and analyse scenarios with a solution-oriented mindset.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
You will definitely need to be experienced but with a hands-on approach to make this position your own.
· Fully qualified accountant in either AACA or CIMA with minimum 5 years' experience at this level.
· Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams - you will definitely need to be a team player.
· Ability to work independently under tight schedules while managing multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
· Ability to work under pressure and multitask using effective delegation.
· Confident in introducing structure and systems in a multifaceted business with offshore involvement.
· Experience in manufacturing and offshore production preferable.
· Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
· Detail-oriented, demonstrating accuracy and commitment to all tasks.
· Excellent MS Office skills especially Excel.
· Act as a visible senior leader within the business.
· Build capability, succession, and professional growth across the team.
