The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on a range of projects across industrial sites, carrying out installations, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation, termination, and testing of industrial electrical systems and equipment
* Fault-finding, repairs, and planned maintenance activities
* Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
* Working with containment systems, armoured cabling, and control wiring
* Assisting with control panel installations and machinery connections
* Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety requirements
* Collaborating with supervisors and engineers to deliver projects on time and to specification
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Time-served electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience in industrial electrical installation or maintenance
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, control wiring, and motor circuits
* Competent in using test equipment and completing electrical certification
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable:
* ECS or JIB Gold Card
* 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
* 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification
* Experience with PLC wiring, control systems, or instrumentation
* CompEx certification (advantageous but not essential)
* Familiarity with industrial standards and safe systems of work
* Willingness to travel (advantageous but not essential).
