Pulse has recently partnered with one of the UK’s leading providers of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to support the clinical leadership of our service. This role is based in Melton Mowbray.
About the role:
The Speech & Language Therapist will work in a private 50-bed hospital specializing in Adult Neuro-Rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injuries, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, or progressive neurological conditions. The goal is to reduce challenging behaviour and optimise functional skills.
Duties include:
* Assessing, managing, and treating communication difficulties following brain injury.
* Participating in ward rounds and care plan meetings.
* Providing training for new staff from a communication perspective.
* Managing your caseload and developing as a clinical practitioner.

Main responsibilities:
* Handling complex cases with cultural and linguistic considerations and developing management strategies.
* Conducting audits and contributing to research.
* Possessing specialist knowledge of acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
Candidate requirements:
* HCPC registration.
* Understanding of the impact of mental health on communication disorders.
* Strong knowledge of acquired brain injury (ABI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
