Position: Religious Studies Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on experience)
Start: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join a supportive school in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to inspire students to explore a range of religious, philosophical, and ethical topics while encouraging critical thinking and respect for diverse perspectives.
As a Religious Studies Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging Religious Studies lessons that promote thoughtful discussion.
* Encouraging students to critically analyse and reflect on various religious beliefs and moral issues.
* Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students.
* Promoting an understanding of different cultural and religious perspectives.
To be successful, you must:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Have a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject.
* Be confident in delivering dynamic and thought-provoking lessons.
* Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
* Have a current CV covering the last ten years (with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
