We have an exciting and ongoing opportunity for a Senior Practitioner to join the Children’s Social Care Team in Thurrock. Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs, risks, and strengths to develop a clear picture of the required support.
* Develop and implement personalised care/support plans, ensuring they meet the unique needs of each child and family.
* Provide essential emotional support and intervention during crises, offering guidance and advocacy.
* Liaise effectively with other agencies and professionals to coordinate comprehensive services and ensure seamless support for families.
* Advocate for clients’ rights and access to necessary resources, aiming to safeguard and promote positive outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
* Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with legal and organisational standards, ensuring accountability and transparency.
* Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures, maintaining a proactive approach to the welfare of children.
* Manage cases involving CIN, CP, PLO, and court statements, applying expertise to drive successful outcomes.


Qualifications & Experience

* A recognised degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
* Experience working with vulnerable families and individuals, with a strong understanding of safeguarding, mental health, and social care systems.
* Proficiency in communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Previous experience in managing cases related to CIN, CP, PLO, and court proceedings is highly desirable.
