Following a recent restructure, the business is looking for a Transactional Finance Manager to lead its Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash functions. This is a high-visibility leadership role, responsible for managing a well-established team and driving improvements across the transactional finance function. The Opportunity As Transactional Finance Manager, you will lead the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash functions, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations across a high-volume retail environment. Youll manage a team of 8 finance professionals, bringing clear leadership, accountability and structure to the function while working closely with operational teams across the business. With around 200 invoices processed daily, this role sits at the heart of the organisations financial operations - making it ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments. Youll also play a key role in driving improvements in processes, systems and controls, helping the business build a modern, efficient finance operations capability. Key Responsibilities Lead the AP, AR and Cash teams, ensuring accurate, timely and efficient transactional processing. Set clear performance standards and create a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement within the team. Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Monitor customer balances and support the team in effective credit control and debt recovery. Produce and maintain a rolling short-term cash outflow forecast, working closely with operational teams. Identify and resolve operational issues such as aged items, unallocated cash and process bottlenecks. Drive improvements in systems, workflows and automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Partner with procurement, operations and commercial teams to improve communication and streamline processes. Track and manage key KPIs including aged creditors/debtors, payment accuracy and cash forecasting variance. Act as the visible leader and face of the team, building strong relationships across the wider business.
