Vehicle Technician - Tredegar
1. Salary: Around £32,000 per annum, pending experience, with a team performance-related bonus of up to £1,000 per quarter.
2. Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday. No weekend required, but optional Saturday work available, paid as overtime.

Due to business expansion, a not-to-miss opportunity has opened for an experienced Vehicle Technician at our client's independent commercial vehicle dealership in the Tredegar region.
Reporting to the Workshop Controller and working with a large team, as a Vehicle Technician, your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair on customers’ vehicles (predominantly light commercial and 4x4 vehicles) as instructed to the standards laid down by the manufacturer and our client. You need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Workshop Controller as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance. You will need to ensure that quality and health & safety procedures relating to the task at hand are adhered to at all times.
To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum and have at least 3/4 years of experience around your qualification. You will need to hold a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player who has a "mentor mindset" where they're happy to share their knowledge and expertise with the rest of the workshop, when applicable. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. An active MOT licence would be beneficial, but is non-essential.
