Headquartered in East Kilbride with an R+D centre in Hamilton, Grw Talent’s client is expanding its high-volume electronic probe test card production and assembly business in East Kilbride. Employing over 100 staff, the company continues to grow in Scotland, the US, and Asia. Known for an open, fair, and highly engaged culture where employees are valued and rewarded, they are now seeking a Shipping Coordinator.
Reporting to the Supply Chain and Customer Services Manager, the Shipping Coordinator will be part of a busy, fast-paced materials and supply chain team. This role is crucial to daily operations, supporting the delivery of production materials and the shipment of finished goods globally. It involves handling approximately 10-15 deliveries and shipments daily. Key responsibilities include:
* Accurately recording transactions on ERP/CRM EPICOR system
* Liaising with couriers and managing shipping brokers regarding shipment status
* Updating the ERP/CRM system with delivery and receipt statuses
* Verifying and meeting deadlines across product fulfillment, shipping, and transportation
* Submitting customs declarations and verifying data accuracy in line with customs codes and licenses
* Reporting monthly to the line manager on shipping errors or delays
* Using Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems to monitor goods in and out
* Communicating effectively via email, phone, and face-to-face with stakeholders
* Ensuring shipping is cost-effective and compliant with legislation
* Liaising with couriers to schedule timely deliveries
Additional duties include managing border control/custom stoppages, fulfilling customer requirements independently, overseeing packing and shipping, and maintaining consistent workflow to meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Shipping Coordinator, Export Coordinator, Despatch Coordinator, or Logistics Coordinator/Analyst, preferably within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or courier sectors. The role suits highly organized, admin-focused, tech-savvy professionals eager to develop a career in logistics. Attitude is key: willingness to learn, support, work independently, and meet tight deadlines. Strong Microsoft IT skills and familiarity with enterprise CRM, ERP, and SAP platforms are preferred.
