Summary of the role
GlobalSign is seeking a Sales Engineer for its Sales/Solutions Engineering team. This position is the primary technical resource for the GlobalSign EMEA sales force. The individual will play a critical role in establishing credibility and confidence with GlobalSign’s customers, by demonstrating and proving GlobalSign’s value through its products and services. The ideal person for this role should be a true team player that has strong interpersonal skills and is very comfortable with a collaborative approach to problem solving. We are looking for a professional with a “solutions mind-set” and experienced in managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. Working collaboratively with GlobalSign's EMEA sales team you will serve as the key technical adviser and advocate for our products. Successful candidates must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users to assure complete customer satisfaction and relationships through all stages of the sales process for assigned accounts.

Travel: Occasional (up to about 25%)

Main job responsibilities and accountabilities
* Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations.
* Presenting the product(s) to customers and at external events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
* Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
* Assist sales with building business cases for new opportunities.
* Develop a strong working relationship with the customer’s technical staff and gain their trust through deep technical know-how and subject matter expertise.
* Work closely with the customer to align technical requirements and solution design with business drivers.
* Assist in responding to technical elements of RFP/Q/I and technical architecture solutions.
* Support customer integration/testing to GlobalSign APIs.
* Support and run pilots and POCs to drive/test specific use-cases internally and with customers.
* Document technical process flows and help discover existing PKI flows.
* Test complex technical/PKI concepts to add value to GlobalSign’s portfolio.
* Collaborate with the Professional Services team to assist in initial production setup of solutions for customers.
* Assist with developing content/demos for webinars, presentations, and tradeshows.
* Support product development by writing product requirements, working with the development team, testing product/features/integrations, and supporting user guides.
* Provide third-party integration support, test and document results.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including information security and mandatory training.
* Undertake other responsibilities within the remit of the role as they arise.
Person specification
* Customer-focused mindset with general interest in technology.
* Experience in information technology space.
* Basic understanding of Windows environment (Active Directory, Windows Servers/Desktops, Command Prompt, VM setup).
* Basic understanding of networking topology, TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, etc.
* Comfortable in a dynamic technical environment with onboarding of new customers and partners.
* Strong communication and presentation skills; professional written responses (emails, RFPs, reports).
* Organised and analytical with the ability to solve technical obstacles in the sales process.
* Ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality outputs (SOWs, RFP responses).
* Fluency in German (C1) and English (C1).
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience, or cybersecurity/IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, (ISC)2, GIAC).
* Working knowledge of PKI concepts; hands-on PKI product experience preferred.
* Good understanding of information security products/services or the ability to quickly learn GlobalSign solutions.
* Attention to detail with strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
* Additional European languages are a plus.
