📦 Dispatch Operative – Chilled Environment, Temp-Perm
📍 Location: Sittingbourne
🕒 Shift: Monday to Friday, 6AM to 2PM
💰 Salary: £13.50 to £14.00 per hour
Are you a reliable and detail-focused individual with experience in dispatch operations? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working as part of a team? We are looking for a Dispatch Operative to join our clients food production team on a Temp-Perm basis.
🔹 About the Role:
As a Dispatch Operative, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the chilled goods are accurately checked, recorded, and dispatched on time. Working in a chiller environment, you’ll perform final stock checks and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
🧊 Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out final checks on outgoing stock with precision and accuracy
2. Liaise via radio with Planning, Technical, and Transport teams
3. Use Electric Pallet Movers (EPM) or similar equipment to prepare and move goods
4. Ensure all dispatch paperwork is completed correctly
5. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety
6. Support the wider dispatch team and contribute to a clean and organized working environment
🛠️ What We're Looking For:
7. Previous experience in a dispatch or warehouse environment (preferably in food production or chilled goods)
8. Confident operating electric pallet movers or similar equipment
9. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
10. Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
11. Comfortable working in cold/chilled conditions
12. Due to the location of the site you must be able to drive
