CNC Machinist

* Full-time, Permanent
* Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 + overtime + company benefits
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter / Operator to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining our long tradition of supplying quality products to a diverse client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, ensuring high standards are met for both small and large batch sizes of high-value components.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Setting and running HAAS CNC mills and Multi Axis CNC lathes.
* Operating XYZ Prototrak controls.
* Interpreting engineering drawings and applying these to machined components.
* Ensuring quality control and meeting production deadlines.
* Working with various batch sizes, maintaining precision on high-value components.
* Self-managing projects to meet customer-specific deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ/Diploma/BTEC in engineering.
* Experience in setting and running HAAS CNC mills and Multi Axis CNC lathes is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
* Experience with XYZ Prototrak controls is advantageous.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
