📍 Where is the Role Based?
You’ll be working full-time at our offices in Northwich, CW9.
🔍 What Will You Be Doing?
As a Service Charge Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and producing service charge accounts in a timely manner.
* Liaising with Property Managers to assist in answering client queries.
* Collaborating with external accountants and auditors to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Reconciling completed accounts back to the finance system.
* Providing an escalation path for complex queries and problems.
* Following and adhering to company processes, procedures, and policies.
🛠️ What Skills and Experience Do You Need?
Essential:
* Previous experience in a finance/accounts-based role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Intermediate Excel skills.
* High attention to detail and strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, providing top-notch customer service.
* Ability to make informed decisions independently and collaboratively.
* Understanding of prepayments, accruals, journal posting, and double-entry accounting.
Preferred:
* Studying towards a financial qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
* Experience in the property sector dealing with service charge accounts.
