Job Description:
The role of a Territory Sales Consultant is an excellent opportunity to drive the sales and product awareness of our products with assigned B&Q stores. This role will be working across the South East covering Trowbridge, Witney, Swindon, Chippenham, and Devizes stores. Candidates should be living in these areas. This position is ideal for a sales professional with retail sales or service experience, who has coached or mentored others. Responsibilities include:
1. Establish strong relationships with store associates, management, and other contacts.
2. Promote and represent the brand and product strengths to store teams and consumers.
3. Use the CRM system to document sales calls and store visits.
4. Conduct promotional events to increase sales.
5. Ensure successful in-store activations and business activities.
6. Prepare monthly performance summaries for the Regional Manager covering sales, training, and activations.
7. Develop and evaluate partnerships with customers, including meetings with Store Unit Managers.
8. Leverage Sherwin Williams brands across the customer base.
Training:
1. Conduct product knowledge sessions for B&Q store teams, including features, benefits, and selling skills.
2. Train store teams on equipment, store excellence, and maintenance, including tinting machines.
Service:
1. Identify upselling opportunities and maximize store resources.
2. Assist with customer service activities, including tinting/mixing paint.
3. Review and maintain stock and display of SW products.
Merchandising / Color Collateral / Displays:
1. Maintain signage, displays, and color samples.
2. Order collateral to ensure adequate inventory.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
1. Support regional activities as needed.
2. Participate in conference calls and trainings.
3. Attend sales meetings and complete reports promptly.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or merchandising.
2. Coaching or mentoring experience is an advantage.
3. Retail experience preferred.
4. Flexible schedule including two Saturdays per month and bank holidays.
5. Valid driver’s license required.
