Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Managing Application Developer to lead our cloud development initiatives.
* Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure cloud applications using full-stack technologies.
* Guide the design, development, and maintenance of our cloud-based applications.
* Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
* Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges, applying deep expertise in full-stack cloud development.
* Drive continuous improvement in our development practices.
* Shape the technical direction of our cloud applications and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
* Lead smaller projects from design through deployment.
Qualifications
* Required education: None
* Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree
* Required technical and professional expertise:
o Demonstrated mastery in full-stack development, including both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (Node.js, Python, Ruby) technologies.
o Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and services.
o Proven leadership qualities, with a track record of managing teams and delivering projects.
o Exceptional problem‑solving capabilities.
o Exemplary verbal and written communication skills to engage with team members, stakeholders, and upper management.
* Preferred technical and professional experience:
o Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
o Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices.
o Familiarity with event‑driven design patterns.
o Understanding of database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
o Experience with cloud security best practices.
Eligibility
You must have the valid right to work in the UK and be a resident who has lived continuously in the UK for the last 10 years. You must be able to hold or gain a UK government security clearance. We do not offer visa sponsorship.
