Invicta Health has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team on a part-time basis, 25 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
As a Receptionist, you will support the practice team with the day-to-day running of the practice by undertaking various administrative duties. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a courteous, confidential, and professional service in person, via email, or over the phone. You will work across Church Lane Surgery, Martello Health Centre, and Orchard House Surgery.

Job responsibilities
Front Desk
* Greet patients and visitors, ensuring sign-in and direction to waiting areas.
* Inform relevant staff of arrivals.
* Arrange transportation for patients as needed.
* Assist with forms and keep the reception area tidy.
* Address disruptive behaviors and escalate when necessary.
Registrations and Appointments
* Process patient registrations with complete information and ID.
* Book and manage appointments efficiently.
* Monitor urgent consultations and home visit requests.
Prescriptions and Guidance
* Handle prescription requests and queries.
* Provide non-medical advice and information on third-party services.
Communication
* Answer calls professionally, document, and redirect as needed.
* Coordinate with healthcare professionals and manage correspondence.
Equipment and Stock Control
* Maintain supplies and ensure secure storage of medications and vaccines.
* Support security and opening/closing procedures.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good education with numeracy and literacy skills.
* Chaperone training.
Key Skills
* Effective communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage priorities and handle demanding situations.
Experience
* Confidentiality and data management.
* Administrative experience, preferably in healthcare.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EMIS, and DOCMAN.
