We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our multidisciplinary team at the Roslin Institute, focusing on utilising genome editing and parasitology techniques to enhance animal health and productivity.
The opportunity:
This role is ideal for an individual passionate about animal biotechnology and infectious diseases, aiming to integrate cutting-edge genomic tools and high throughput parasitological assays to drive forward fundamental knowledge and discoveries in animal health and welfare. This post is full-time (35 hours per week).
The salary for this post is Grade 7 (£41,064 - 48,822) per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
1. PhD or PhD nearing completion or equivalent experience in molecular biology or parasitology.
2. Strong foundation in molecular biology or parasitology techniques
3. Demonstrated experience with genome editing technologies
4. Experience of planning and executing research projects and complex integrative analysis of large host-parasite interaction datasets.
5. Proven track record of relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals
