Overview
Amazon is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to support European Data Center infrastructure growth initiatives across Dublin, London, and Frankfurt offices. The TIPM will lead cross‑functional teams to drive the implementation and deployment of data center expansion projects to meet rapidly growing business demands.
Key Responsibilities
* Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross‑functional and remote teams.
* Plan and manage end‑to‑end program delivery from pre‑contract design up to final handover to Operations for Colo, Hybrid Colo & AWS Leased/Owned Data Centers in the EMEA region.
* Manage interface between internal stakeholders (Real Estate, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Infrastructure Deployment, Networking, Operations, Security, Fiber, Finance, etc.) and external stakeholders (Contractors, Colo Vendors) to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
* Build and maintain overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to senior leadership for finance approval.
* Work with Capacity Planning, Energy, and Real Estate teams to develop short‑ and long‑term build strategies to meet forecast demand.
* Support continuous process improvement through leading workflow updates, documenting and implementing lessons learned, and sharing knowledge across delivery teams to drive efficiencies across EMEA.
* Regularly report to senior leadership on key project metrics versus commitments.
* Travel up to 25% within EMEA.
Basic Qualifications
* Experience as a Program Manager in capital projects, physical infrastructure, or mission‑critical environments.
* Experience in data center, networking engineering, systems engineering, or construction management with understanding of power, cooling, and controls systems.
* Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers or large‑scale mechanical and electrical plants.
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience managing large‑scale projects from end to end.
* Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers.
* Project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2).
* Experience leading projects across multiple stakeholders.
