About the role
The successful Senior Land Manager will work with us to expand our land acquisition efforts in the highly successful North Home Counties Region.
What you will do:
1. Identify and negotiate land and development opportunities.
2. Maintain regular communication with landowners, agents, and council contacts.
3. Report to the Divisional Head of Land and take responsibility for site acquisitions as per the land purchase programme.
4. Support the delivery of key business performance targets.
5. Manage internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure smooth project delivery through to construction.
6. Participate in bids across all opportunities, including single-family build-to-rent.
7. Communicate with internal and external parties for contract exchanges and legal completions.
8. Align activities with short and medium-term budget and forecast requirements.
What you will have:
1. An innovative and creative approach to problem-solving and deal-making.
2. Ability to build rapport and leverage networks to grow land opportunities.
3. Strong negotiation, communication, numeracy, report writing, data analysis, IT proficiency (including MS Excel), project management, and presentation skills.
4. A planning or property-related degree.
5. Experience as a Land Manager with a recognized house builder.
6. Extensive knowledge of new-build housing.
7. Ideally, RICS qualification.
