Job Description:
Global insurance business is now looking to recruit a Senior Delegated Authority Auditor to join their expanding Delegated Authority Audit team.
This is a unique opportunity to join a newly established function and play a key role in shaping how risk and compliance are managed across the network of delegated entities, including coverholders, and third-party administrators.
You’ll lead audits, guide improvements in oversight processes, and help embed best practices across the business.
You’ll be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of delegated authority audits, ensuring adherence with contractual terms, regulatory requirements and company standards, supporting a robust governance and oversight culture.
Key tasks will include:
1. Planning and preparation of audit fieldwork, including drafting audit scopes.
2. Leading the delivery of coverholder and third-party administrator audits, with a focus on operations and governance functions.
3. Completing sales, underwriting, claims and complaints file reviews including call listening to assess customer journey and outcomes.
4. Evaluating governance, controls, adherence to contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.
5. Ensuring audits are managed and conducted in a competent, thorough and professional manner.
6. Producing clear, concise and timely audit reports, including risk ratings and communication of practical remediation actions.
7. Escalating material risks or breaches to senior management and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
8. Developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
9. Supporting internal stakeholders and external partners on best practices and continuous improvement opportunities.
10. Maintaining a rolling audit schedule based on risk appetite, partner performance, and audit history.
11. Reporting into partner performance reviews and governance forums with audit insights.
12. Tracking and reporting upon the implementation of audit requirements to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
13. Maintaining the audit finding tracking system to ensure monitoring and insights into trends, risks and overall audit findings.
The successful candidate will have recent insurance industry experience with extensive delegated authority audit exposure and an excellent understanding of coverholder and third party administrator oversight and controls requirements.
