About the Opportunity
An international law firm is looking to strengthen its Birmingham disputes practice with the appointment of a Commercial Disputes Senior Associate (3–8 PQE). The team acts for a wide range of national and international clients including corporates, financial institutions and professional services organisations. The Birmingham office forms an important part of the firm’s wider disputes practice and handles a broad mix of complex, high-value commercial disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious disputes lawyer looking to take on a senior role within a well‑established and collaborative team.
The Role
You will play a key role in handling complex commercial disputes while also supporting the partners on larger, multi‑party matters. Your work is likely to include:
* Contractual and shareholder disputes
* Corporate and partnership disputes
* Banking and financial services litigation
* Professional negligence matters
* High‑value and complex commercial litigation in the High Court
You will also have the opportunity to assist with supervising junior lawyers, developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
About You
You will be a qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3–8 years’ PQE in commercial litigation or disputes. The firm is seeking:
* Strong experience handling commercial disputes
* Exposure to complex High Court litigation
* Excellent drafting, analytical and case management skills
* A commercial and pragmatic approach to dispute resolution
* The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
