The role
We are looking for a Operations Manager (3 to5 years experience) to design, implement, and improve core processes, manage key supplier relationships, and keep our growing biotech company running smoothly.
As our first dedicated operations hire, you will work closely with leadership and across teams, helping to establish structure while staying hands-on in day-to-day activities.
Your responsibilities
* Process development: Build, document, and improve processes for employee onboarding/offboarding, invoice processing, IT support coordination, and supplier management.
* Supplier & contractor management: First point of contact for suppliers, contractors, landlords, and service providers.
* Lab and office operations: Oversee smooth running of our facilities and laboratory, including compliance with HSE and maintenance schedules.
* IT and admin coordination: Manage relationships with external IT support, supervise part-time HR admin.
* Legal coordination: Manage first-level review of legal documents (NDAs, supplier contracts) and liaise with external counsel where needed.
* General operations support: Be a go-to person for operational queries, supporting a fast-moving team.
Requirements
* 3 to5 years experience in operations, office management, or similar roles ideally in biotech, life sciences, or tech environments.
* Proven ability to create and improve business processes.
* Experience managing suppliers and service providers.
* Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams.
* Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused mindset.
Desired
* Experience managing lab or facilities operations.
* Familiarity with compliance, HSE, or regulatory requirements.
* Experience supporting legal contract processes.
