Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities, placed on us as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams. You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate.
Responsibilities
* monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England in the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team
* manage day-to-day correspondence
* record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date
* encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act

The team is nationally dispersed and some travel and overnight stays will be required. Some information about the role will be provided for interview via Microsoft Teams. This is a national role so you can be based at any Environment Agency office.
Everyone that joins us is required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties when the need to respond arises. Having an incident role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency and an active way to support communities and prevent harm to the environment.

Location and status
Burntwood, Worcester, Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull, and other locations in England; remote interviews may be used. This is a part-time job share position, and some travel may be required.
