Exciting Opportunity: Avionic Fitter / Wireman
We're on the hunt for a highly skilled Avionic Fitter / Wireman for a 3-month contract (with potential for extension). This role is vital for maintaining the safety and airworthiness of helicopters within our Installations department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute tasks under the Installation Supervisor or Certifying Engineer's guidance.
* Manufacture electrical looms and avionic systems in alignment with design data.
* Conduct both on-aircraft and off-aircraft workshop tasks.
* Assist with aircraft movements and general housekeeping in the hangar.
* Participate in shift work and maintain flexibility.
* Adhere to high standards of Health & Safety and use appropriate PPE.
* Remove and refit panels and cowlings, and carry out repairs to aircraft wiring looms.
* Collaborate closely with the design office.
Required Experience & Skills:
* Experience with helicopter systems.
* Skilled in manufacturing wiring looms, soldering, crimping, and using specialised test equipment.
* Ability to accurately interpret wiring diagrams.
* Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Proficiency in Google Office, SAP, and MS products is desirable.
Education & Qualifications:
* Completed formal aviation apprenticeship or related discipline.
* Experience with Airbus Helicopters.
* Initial Human Factors training.
* Valid driving licence.
* Obtain basic Security Clearance for Oxford Airport.
