Responsibilities

* Supporting residents with personal care and emotional reassurance
* Supervising and mentoring care staff to maintain best practice
* Liaising with families, GPs, nurses, and palliative care professionals
* Monitoring residents wellbeing and promptly responding to changes
* Upholding dignity, respect, and sensitivity at all times, including end-of-life care to make residents as comfortable as possible
* Provide end-of-life care to residents with life-limiting conditions, ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of care in their final days


Qualifications

* NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* Prior experience in a senior carer or end-of-life/palliative care role
* Compassionate, calm, and emotionally resilient nature
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* A genuine commitment to person-centred care; End-of-life care training (e.g., Gold Standards Framework, Six Steps)
* Experience supporting families through bereavement
* Knowledge of Advance Care Planning and DNACPR processes
