Electrical Inspector

About the role
As an electrical inspector your involves both office and site-based responsibilities, focusing on ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical installation works on Capital Works projects.
This includes inspecting and verifying the accuracy and quality of electrical installations, creating detailed reports, and liaising with clients and subcontractors. Additionally, the role requires organising and coordinating the production of various reports, such as Lifecycle Condition Surveys, and completing and uploading Site Inspection Reports. Reviewing subcontractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensuring that electrical works comply with the electrical design, client specifications, the current edition of the BS7671 wiring regulations, and Mears internal policies and procedures are also key responsibilities. The role demands adherence to Mears electrical compliance standards and regulatory requirements, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Electricity at Work Regulations, ensuring that workers comply with these standards. Furthermore, the role involves assisting in broader service delivery across contracts where required, ensuring a comprehensive approach to maintaining high standards in electrical installations.

5. City and Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3, (from Sept 2011)

7. City and Guilds 2357 (Including AM2)
8. City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing
9. City and Guilds 2392 Fundamental Certification, Inspection and Testing
10. City and Guilds 2394, 2395 Inspection and testing
11. City and Guilds 2382-10/18/20
12. 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations
