We are recruiting for a Grounds Operative here at South Holland District Council.
We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Grounds Operative to help keep our parks, open spaces, and public areas clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone in our community.
As part of our friendly and supportive team, you’ll carry out a variety of tasks including:
* Grass cutting, litter picking, and weeding
* Operating grounds maintenance equipment and vehicles
* Supporting the Parks, Grounds and Open Spaces Supervisor with day-to-day duties
You’ll play a key role in maintaining the quality and safety of our outdoor spaces, helping to create environments that everyone can enjoy.
Hours are 07:30am till 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.
What we need from you:
* Class B licence
* Knowledge of basic vehicle/ machinery safety checks
* Experience in Grounds maintenance activities
* Confidence using in-cab/tablet technology to follow routes
* A commitment to safe working practices and wearing appropriate PPE
