We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified individual to join the Private Client Team, based in our Witney office.
Main Purpose of the Role:
* To provide a comprehensive financial planning and advice service to new and existing clients of the company, with particular reference to pensions, protection, and tax planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage and attend client meetings, both on and off site, advising clients on all aspects of pensions, long-term planning, protection, and tax management.
* Use AI and IO systems to create file notes and collate relevant documentation.
* Update all relevant meeting information onto systems for record keeping and report writing.
* Gather necessary information about the client’s financial history to enable a full financial needs analysis.
* Assess the client’s attitude to risk, including their willingness and ability to accept risk, following Courtiers’ Know Your Client procedures.
* Apply a theoretical approach to evaluating the merits of financial planning and investment options using appropriate analytical systems and data.
* Ensure all relevant information is accurately recorded on client files.
* Provide clear, suitable, and understandable advice to clients.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience advising clients within the Financial Services Industry.
* Diploma qualification, with progress towards Chartered status with the CII or equivalent.
* Valid SPS issued by CII or equivalent.
* Willingness to undertake further study.
* Ability to manage workload independently and work effectively within a small team.
* Knowledge of business processes, standards, policies, and procedures.
* Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ideally Intelligent Office, Papercloud, and Pulse systems.
* Strong knowledge of financial products.
* Understanding of legal, regulatory, and industry requirements.
