Job Description CNC Miller – Setter & CADCAM Programmer (Haas) I am recruiiting a skilled CNC Miller to join a precision engineering business in the Kirbymoorside North Yorkshire area This is a dual role combining hands-on machine setting with PC-based programming from CAD/CAM drawings – ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and practical side of machining. You'll be programming from CAD drawings on the computer, then heading onto the shop floor to set and run jobs yourself. No shift work, just a quality-led environment where you can take real ownership of your work. Key Responsibilities: Programming from CAD/CAM drawings (offline, PC-based) Setting and operating CNC milling machines (Haas) Reading technical drawings and machining to tight tolerances Ensuring parts are produced accurately and efficiently Collaborating with engineering and production staff on bespoke and batch work What we’re looking for: Time-served CNC Miller with setting and programming experience Confident working from CAD drawings and translating them into machine code Experience with Haas preferred; Fanuc experience also considered Strong understanding of precision engineering practices Takes pride in producing high-quality work and getting it right first time What’s on offer: Up to £17 ph DOE Permanent position with long-term security Day shift only – no weekends or night shifts Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm Well-equipped, engineering environment Genuine scope to develop skills and take on more responsibility If you're an experienced CNC Miller Setter with strong programming experience PC and Pedestal based I would love to see your CV
