About the Client:

Role (Main Purpose):
To ensure that all commercial and contractual aspects of the relevant projects are properly managed and controlled efficiently to maximize the Group's return.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Provide assistance, support, and guidance on all commercial issues within the project(s).
2. Prepare internal Cost/Value Reports monthly to meet the requirements of the Commercial Manager and other reports as needed.
3. Prepare Valuations/Applications for Payment monthly with full supporting documentation, in an efficient, timely manner, and in accordance with the contract.
4. Prepare Cost Reports for the client monthly with full supporting documentation.
5. Calculate earned value and detailed projected project outturn costs monthly.
6. Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
7. Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts, from requisition preparation, monitoring, and authorization of payments, to final account agreement.
8. Produce and manage Early Warning Notices and related registers.
9. Negotiate and agree on Compensation Events/variations, extension of time claims, etc.
10. Identify and proactively manage commercial risks and opportunities; conduct value engineering exercises.
11. Promote a culture of contractual awareness within the site team, ensuring full contractual entitlement through proper record-keeping, notifications, and change control.
12. Utilize the MAXcel costing system to improve cost control and reporting; ensure staff are trained to use it effectively.
13. Ensure compliance with all Group Procedures by commercial staff.
14. Establish and maintain a robust site record system for labor, plant, materials, and staff to support cost substantiation for changes or delays.
15. Implement a cost allocation/coding system that meets internal and external requirements, and ensure adherence by the site team.
16. Attend internal and external financial meetings as required.
17. Prepare project final accounts.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by the Commercial Manager or Project Manager.
