Base Location
You’ll be expected to spend your working week in either a static SSE workshop location: Arbroath or in a mobile/remote working capacity/in the field covering breakdowns/routine maintenance.

The role
To service, maintain & repair a wide-ranging fleet of Plant equipment, incl but not limited to Excavators, Woodchippers, Plant Trailers and small hand power tools. Individual is required to be a qualified or time-served mechanical engineer (Plant equipment desirable / basic vehicle engineering knowledge essential).
You will
* Be confident and capable of working remotely.
* Follow manufacturer servicing/repair guidelines.
* Use self-initiative when faced with unknown/intermittent faults.
* Practise first class health & safety protocols, together with excellent Engineering hygiene skills.
* Communicate effectively at all levels, verbally & with written/online maintenance recording.
You have
* City Guilds Vehicle / Plant Engineering parts 1, 2 & 3 (or time-served qualified).
* Remote working capability / experience (desirable).
* Clean driving licence with LCV 3.5T qualified.
* Flexible / adaptable attitude to static & mobile working.
* A team player than contributes to wider Plant team objectives (+ Fleet Services team member role).
