Advert EDUCATION, COMMUNITIES AND HOUSING Active Communities Community Planning Manager 35 hours per week Permanent £41,419 - £45,762 / £22.70 - £25.08 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance) Are you passionate about making a difference for communities in Orkney? The Orkney Community Planning Partnership is looking for a Community Planning Manager. Working with partners you will facilitate and coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of Community Planning in Orkney. This post will drive forward the priorities identified and agreed by the partnership. The Orkney Community Planning Partnership is made up of five statutory partners: Orkney Islands Council, NHS Orkney, Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, and Highlands & Islands Enterprise with other organisations involved from across Orkney. The partnership's vision for Orkney's long-term future is set out in the Orkney Community Plan. We are looking for a collaborative problem solver who is passionate about community outcomes. You will have the chance to work with senior leaders across the Community Planning Partnership and develop your strategic leadership skills. Working collaboratively with partners you will have well developed facilitation and organisational skills gained through experience in the public or third sector. You will have experience of research, analysis and writing of detailed reports. The minimum knowledge required for this role can be evidenced by either: holding a qualification at SCQF 8/9 i.e. SVQ4, HND, or, where this is not held you should have a minimum of 5 years previous relevant experience.
