Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, is looking for a Summer Camp Counselor to work at our 160-acre campus located in northern Cherokee County which is home to about 40 young men in foster care.
Responsibilities:
* Supervision and mentoring of residents as may be assigned.
* Spend time in recreation and activities as desired.
* May be called upon to spend time in direct support of or supervision of one or more individual residents who require special attention.
* Should attend regular staff meetings and functions as possible.
This is a part-time position, approximately 20-29 hours per week. The salary is $15-$16/hr depending upon experience. Candidates will need to be able to onboard during mid-May in order to fulfill orientation and training requirements before June 1st summer program start.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must be 21 years of age or older to be able to supervise youth.
* Must have a High School diploma or GED.
* Must be of good character, and supportive of the programs, policies, and ideals of GVF.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Proficient in Microsoft 365/Outlook.
* Must be able to pass a drug and criminal background check and possess a valid driver’s license.
* If the nature of service requires it, the individual must be insurable by the GVF insurance carrier.
* The individual must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide moral, ethical, and spiritual leadership that coincides with the program and policies of GVF.
