We are seeking an experienced Year 5 Teacher to join our team for the full summer term. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to contribute to our vibrant learning environment. The role offers the potential for Senior Leadership Team (SLT) experience for the right candidate and the opportunity to be appointed permanently in September 2026.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards and cater to the needs of all students in Year 5.
* Assess and record students progress, preparing reports and communicating results to parents and school management as required.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance teaching practices and learning outcomes.
* Participate in school meetings and events, and contribute to the school community.
* Utilise allocated PPA time efficiently for lesson planning and professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2
* Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage and inspire students.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
