My client is looking to recruit a Senior Payroll Administrator for a 12 month fixed-term contract.
As the Senior Payroll Administrator you will report directly to the Payroll Manager and work as part of a small, friendly payroll team where you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and accurate payroll operation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing end-to-end processes, including starters and leavers
2. Maintain accurate records of payroll data for multiple payrolls
3. Review and verify timesheets
4. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments
5. Submission of statutory returns to HMRC
6. Processing statutory deductions
7. Respond to employee payroll queries with professionalism and care
8. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment of employee data and benefits
9. Support audits andpliance checks by preparing relevant documentation
10. Third party records, AEO’s, pensions
11. Other ad hoc payroll reports as required
12. Train and mentor junior payroll staff as needed
13. Liaise with other departments in a friendly and professional manner
Experience
14. Experience of working in a similar role will be preferred
15. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with strict reporting deadlines
Qualifications and training
16. GCSE Maths and English – Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
17. A-Level Maths is desirable
18. CIPP is desirable
